Community Impact

Through our initiatives, we have supported fellow Island nonprofits and have provided needed scholarships for our local youth. Our growth as an organization, has been a slow and steady one.
With experienced leadership at the helm and a seasonal membership base, we rely on our community supporters and volunteers to carry out our mission.

The
Martha’s Vineyard Community

Located on Martha’s Vineyard Island in Massachusetts, the Vineyard has a unique year-round and summer seasonal community. Often referred to as “a playground for the rich and famous” the Island’s year-round community faces real world challenges; an affordable housing crisis, food insecurity, substance abuse and more. The Cottager’s Inc. organization along with our members, donors and volunteers, work hard to help mitigate some of these challenges.

Guardians of our Legacy

Capital Campaign

The capital campaign committee seeks to raise 3 million dollars in order to renovate and restore our historic building, The Cottagers Corner. The Cottagers Corner is a historic building on the MV African American Heritage Trail, featured at the African American Museum and hosts many MV events each summer.
